Carl Trade: Amazon River Cruise

1	Sun	Iquitos. Early arrival and transfer to board the ship. Ship departs at noon. After a short briefing by the cruise director check into your cabin. Lunch will be served on board. Sail down river from Iquitos passing the citys' industrial areas. Enjoy the changed view and the atmosphere on board. Dinner on board.
2	Mon	(Cruise) Early morning bird watching expedition. After breakfast, visit the Yagua Indian community. Later in the morning stop at the town of Pevas, oldest Peruvian town on the Amazon. In the afternoon a jungle hike through the dense rain forest of the Shishita river area. Night expedition by launch up a small tributary.
3	Tue	(Cruise) Morning jungle walk to see the Victoria Regia water lilies, followed by a piranha fishing expedition on a small back-water lake. Afternoon visit to the missionary village at the Lake Caballococha. After sunset, cross the lake to look for the Amazon caiman's eye glow in the flashlights in the ready shallows.
4	Wed	(Cruise) Early arrival opposite Leticia and Tabatinga. Optional City tour Leticia/Tabatinga ($ 50). Return to the ship for afternoon sailing. Time permitting there will be a shore excursion.
5	Thu	(Cruise) A morning trip launch up the Ataquari river to fish in a small back-water lake. Afternoon stop at the remote leper hospital of San Pablo, with time to browse in the primitive "gift shop" which sells patients' handicrafts. Night cruise up the Mayaruna river for a visit to hear the night sounds of the jungle and look for caiman.
6	Fri	(Cruise) After a short trip to Pijuayal for a document check, continue up the Ampiyacu river for a visit to Bora and Huitoto Indian villages for native dances and a bit of bartering, trading manufactured goods for native handicrafts.
7	Sat	(Cruise) Early morning arrival in Iquitos, in time for connecting flights. Transfer to the airport. Arrival at Lima. End of our services.
